Arkansas Valley Adventure offers a wide variety of job opportunities each summer in Colorado. We are always looking for fun energetic people to enjoy the summer fun. Our season runs from May until September. Most of our staffing needs are from June until mid August. This makes for a perfect summer job while on break from school.

The seasonal jobs available are as follows:

• Guide

• Drivers (CDL Required)

• Office staff

• Housekeeping

AVA usually hires 10 to 15 guides a year. Guide school starts in the third week of May and lasts for 14 days. Some people will need additional training to graduate. Guide School costs $400 per student. This course is geared toward participants that are safety conscious, team oriented, responsible, personable, fit, hardy, and ready for a challenge. Guiding is not for everyone! The responsibility that accompanies guiding should be considered before applying for a position with AVA.

In order to participate in guide school you must have First Aid and CPR. This is not included and should be completed prior to arrival. We usually organize a class that coincides with the school for those people who were unable to arrive with First Aid and CPR.
