Colorado Hot Springs

Soak in the Cottonwood Hot Springs

To bring the perfect day in the Rocky Mountains to a close we recommend you soak in the area’s natural hot springs just down the valley from our Granite Outpost. Relaxing in Colorado hot springs are an experience not to be missed, especially after a day of paddling!

Cottonwood Hot Springs are Colorado’s purest, geo-thermal, gravity-fed mineral spas. Historically noted for their medicinal and therapeutic value, the hot springs were used for centuries by the Ute Indians as a spiritual gathering retreat. Ever since, people have come from all over the country to soak in the curative waters.

Directions

Cottonwood Hot Springs is located 17 1/2 miles from Arkansas Valley Adventures. From AVA take Hwy. 24 East into the town of Buena Vista. At the only stoplight in town turn right and follow this road (306, or Cottonwood Pass) for 5 ½ miles. The Hot Springs are on the right as soon as the road starts to wind into the mountains.

They are approximately 2 1/2 Hours drive from the Denver Area (via Highway 285) and approximately 2 Hours drive from Colorado Springs (via Highway 24).
