Upper Clear Creek Plus Zipline

With the sun shining longer and longer each passing day, now is the time to prepare for your upcoming summer adventure. Summer time in Colorado is one of the most beautiful spots in the United States with stunning mountain vistas, beautiful piney forests and curious wildlife. In addition to the beautiful scenery the weather is also fabulous as Colorado boasts 300 days a year of sunshine and weather all the way up to the 80’s in the mountains. This weather makes for some of the best hiking, biking and outdoor activity conditions one could ask for.

My two personal favorite summer time activities are whitewater rafting and ziplining which can be combined into the ultimate day long package: Upper Clear Creek plus Cliffside Zipline.  Upper Clear Creek refers to the upper intermediate section of whitewater on Clear Creek near our Idaho Springs outpost. The Upper Clear Creek is known for its technical and narrow lines on this class IV stretch of whitewater which is bound to provide you with the challenge you are looking for. In addition to this absolutely awesome section of whitewater you will kick off your day at the AVA Cliffside Zipline course. This course include six different ziplines and four different rope course features that include two race lines, via ferrata and a 50ft freefall!  After completing your zipline tour you typically have about an hour before your rafting portion begins which works out perfect for running into to town to grab a quick bite to eat. Once completing both activities do not miss your chance to grab a cold beverage at Tommyknockers Brewery and Pub for one of the best root beers or pilsners you can imagine.
