Up for the ultimate? Take a day with your most adventurous friends and coworkers to explore the advanced river trip through Clear Creek Canyon. The three hour trip begins with the class IV Upper Beaver Falls and doesn’t stop until the end of the canyon at the class V Terminator.
— Colorado, Oregon, Arizona and CaliforniaMy seven girl friends and I just did the Browns Canyon half day and had a blast! Our guide, Kevin, is amazing. He is a great instructor and helped us have a great day! We were part of a “rescue mission” after a raft flipped. I came away feeling very confident and secure with the level of knowlege and experience each guide demonstrated. I feel we were properly prepared for the risks involved and also instructed on how to have a fun but safe trip. Your office is also very professional and helpful. Everyone was upbeat and ready to help all of us (which is alot!) get suited up and ready to go. We couldn’t have been more excited to all go in the same raft (thanks for making it happen) and we will definintly come back for some more fun! Thanks again! See you soon.
During this three hour white water adventure, don’t forget to look around and enjoy the beautiful Colorado vista. The mountains near Clear Creek are filled with big horn sheep and deer, the rivers are full of fish and river otters, and the views are breathtaking. Once the adrenaline subsides, you can take your group of adventurers to the hot springs nearby to relax the rest of the day away or choose one of the great restaurants and bars in Idaho Springs to grab some delicious grub or a refreshing beer.
Not up for such an intense ride? – maybe you’d prefer a more beginner or intermediate excursion for the whole family. Clear Creek is just 25 miles from Denver making any white water rafting trip a serious why-not. Our beginner section of the Canyon can be just as exciting as the rest of it and only takes a couple of hours out of your busy day.
The beginner trip goes through class II and III rapids in Clear Creek’s historic mining valley and allows you a perfect taste of whitewater rafting without taking your whole day. You’ll easily have time to enjoy a tour of the gold mines that put Colorado on the map or just enjoy the small-town atmosphere in the shops and restaurants that Idaho Springs has to offer. It’s easy to head back down to Denver for a Colorado Rockies game, a trip to Denver’s Aquarium or a tour of the Lower Downtown.
For the most adventure in the mountains, consider one of our full day Clear Creek rafting trips. Our Beginner-Intermediate Full Day combines the best of Class II-IV Clear Creek whitewater, while the Advanced full day combines our Intermediate and Advanced trips into a day of nonstop whitewater.
Remember to wear fast drying clothes, bring sunscreen and sunglasses (preferably with a strap!) as well as sure footed shoes for the rocky bank and we’ll take care of the rest!
River trip pricing varies depending on the time of year, but right now we have some great river trip discounts on some of our most popular rafting trips!
