Kremmling Outpost:

- Operations Manager: Â Experienced river manager wanted to oversee Kremmling satellite office running trips on the Pumphouse section of the Colorado River. Responsibilities include managing a team of guides and office staff, scheduling, forecasting, monitoring vehicles and gear, overseeing retail store (money, staff and inventory) and ensuring an outstanding level of guest service at all times. Candidate must be certified river Trip Leader, organized, computer literate, excellent team member, and committed to carrying out AVA’s core values and mission. Dates required: May 1-Sept 14.
Breckenridge Sales Center:
Sales Agents/Reservationists: We’re looking for outgoing, sales-oriented people to staff our reservations office in Breckenridge. Flexible schedules available, bonus structure tied to performance and hourly wage! If you love to talk to people about adventure and help them create fun vacations, please apply! Must have strong attention to detail and be willing to work as a team.
EXPERIENCED GUIDES
We have a core staff of white water rafting guides that have been with AVA for many years. We do, however, hire experienced guides each season to add to our seasoned staff. The number of guides and experience level we’re looking for changes from one year to the next. The best opportunities will arise if you apply early. You must be available early to mid May through Labor Day (school start dates are the only exception). We have white water rafting jobs available in Granite (Buena Vista), Idaho Springs, and Kremmling. Please fill out the application below to apply.
OFFICE STAFF
Working as part of the office staff at AVA is fun, fast-paced and offers something different each day! Office staff is responsible for general customer service duties, including answering questions and selling trips over the phone, checking in guests before trips, selling retail goods, printing photos after trips, and general cleaning. Our office staff is, most often, the first point of personal contact for our guests – both on the phone and in person. We consider this job to hold incredible importance! We’re search for fun-loving, capable folks with good attitudes, strong work ethics, and the ability to multi-task. Must be available through Labor Day (school start dates are the only exception). GUIDE SCHOOL
Each year, we accept approximately 15 people for our white water rafting guide school. No previous training on the river is necessary, although paddling skills, guide/leadership/guest service experience or general white water rafting experience will be an asset for you. Guide school starts mid-May and lasts for three weeks. You must be able to attend the full length of white water rafting guide school. Some people will need additional training to graduate. The cost of guide school is $500 per student plus AHRA use fees and if you are invited to guide school your position will not be held until we receive your deposit. This course is geared toward participants that are safety conscious, team oriented, responsible, personable, fit, hardy, entertaining and ready for a challenge. We want you develop a passionate love for white water rafting. Guiding is not for everyone! The responsibility that accompanies white water raft guiding should be considered before applying for this Colorado mountain
