In addition, we are a helpful connection for you, answering all of your vacation questions about group adventures and helping to plan and make reservations for a variety of activities available at Arkansas Valley Adventures or in the surrounding area. Whether it is a barbecue at our lodge, directions to our favorite Hot Springs or a comprehensive multi-day, multi-activity package, we will make it happen for you. At Arkansas Valley Adventures, we are capable of setting up transportation, meals and accommodations, plus many more exciting events to create the ultimate group adventure. Activities for Groups:
At AVA, we have activities to fulfill any group’s desires. From scenic float trips to heart-pounding, advanced+ Class V, we have adventures to satisfy every individual in your group. Our rafting trips always include all the gear you need except shoes; wetsuits, splash jackets, helmets, life jackets and paddles are included in the price of your trip. No rental fees mean that your group saves even more money. We also offer rock climbing—like rafting, a fantastic team-building experience—just minutes from the AVA Outpost or we can book fly fishing and horseback riding trips for your group adventures. We also have some of the best hiking in the country right out our back door. The trail from the AVA Outpost leads you past old mining cabins and to the Colorado Trail. Or several trailheads for 14,000-foot peaks are within a few miles of us. Whether you want a quick hike in the evening after your rafting trip or you want to stand atop one of Colorado’s majestic mountains, it’s easy from AVA.
Packages:
Ask one of our group specialists how you can combine several activities to make your group adventure a trip no one will forget. Put together two half-day trips (rafting and rock climbing work great together!) or several days of Colorado adventures. We can help you fill your time with incredible group adventures. Add lodging and meals at AVA, and you’ve just created a vacation to remember.
Lodging:
Make it easy on you and your group—arrive the night before to stay with us and/or stay the night after your trip. The AVA Outpost offers a campground that can accommodate large groups. Each of the ten campsites has a picnic table and fire ring, and we have hot showers and flush toilets for campers. We also have five rustic log cabins that can sleep a total of 22 people. These cabins are each appointed with private bathroom, log furniture, linens and towels. Three of the cabins have kitchenettes. Our helpful reservations staff can set up a package for you that includes great discounts on your lodging. If you’re not coming to the AVA Outpost or want to stay somewhere else, we’ll help you find the best lodging options for your group wherever you want to stay.
Meals:
For groups of 15 or more, we offer meal packages that are affordable and delicious. From sandwiches or fajitas for lunch to steak BBQs for dinner, we’ll find a meal package that suits your group adventure and your budget. From our 500 sq. ft deck, admire the views while you enjoy a hearty mountain meal.
Team Building:
The recreational activities offered by Arkansas Valley Adventures can be great team-building tools for students, athletic teams, corporations or other groups. Many of the activities we offer—like rafting and rock climbing—are excellent for improving communication, trust and problem solving skills. Custom Trips:
At AVA, we specialize in creating custom trips for groups. A custom trip allows you to schedule a trip exclusively for your group at the time you want. You don’t have to fit our regular schedule and you won’t have any other guests on the trip—just your group. A custom trip also includes all the rafting gear you need except shoes; wetsuits, splash jackets, life jackets, paddles and helmets are included free of charge. Think of a custom trip as the ultimate in service. Custom trips also work well for groups with more challenging schedules. A custom trip can be as full-service as you can imagine. **REMEMBER: If you are bringing a group of participants that are under age 18, each child must have a release form signed by his/her own parent. Please have releases signed ahead of time and bring them with you.
