My family and I went rafting with AVA this past Saturday afternoon and I would like to recognize the outstanding performance of Johnson. This was our first rafting trip and my wife, our sons (8 and 13), and myself were the only four occupants of the raft. Throughout the trip Johnson’s primary concern was for the safety of Collin (our 8 year old son). Johnson had Collin sit in the back of the raft near him and during the middle of the trip strongly emphasized the outcome if the rest of the family did not improve our paddling efforts. Family Reunion Whitewater Adventures

If you’ve got family coming to Colorado for a reunion this summer you should consider a group rafting trip where fun is sure to be had by all! Wherever your family is vacationing in Colorado, we can plan a group river trip that’s somewhere close by and convenient. If your family reunion is near Vail, Beaver Creek or Summit County, the Upper Colorado rafting trip includes soft paddling and calm waters with a few fun riffles. If you’re close to Denver, we have several trips leaving from Idaho Springs at our Clear Creek Outpost that make for great 1/3 day, 1/2 day or full-day activities for any reunion. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts Whitewater Adventures

Scouting summer excursions can be easily supplemented with white water adventures down any of the Colorado rivers in the Rockies. One of the favorite Boy Scout and Girl Scout group adventures is our 24 Hours in Brown’s Canyon overnight rafting trip, which combines camping with whitewater rafting to put their knowledge of the outdoors in practice. Our overnight trips through Browns Canyon can be the perfect way for your boy scout or girl scout group to start earning their outdoor adventure merit badges.

School Group Whitewater Rafting Adventures

If you have a group of schools students for the summer and need activity ideas, AVA can help. Depending on the age group of your students, we can figure out the perfect school excursion for your class to liven up the summer school experience. Our trips on the Upper Colorado River are calm enough for children of all ages and a perfect way to get out in the wilderness for nature lessons. For older student groups, there are several rafting trips around the state that are safe and easy enough including half-day, full-day and multi-day river trips! Packages:

Ask one of our group specialists how you can combine several activities to make your group adventure a trip no one will forget. Put together two half-day trips (rafting and rock climbing work great together!) or several days of Colorado adventures. We can help you fill your time with incredible group adventures. Lodging:

Make it easy on you and your group—arrive the night before to stay with us and/or stay the night after your trip. The AVA Outpost offers a campground that can accommodate large groups. Each of the ten campsites has a picnic table and fire ring, and we have hot showers and flush toilets for campers. We also have five rustic log cabins that can sleep a total of 22 people. These cabins are each appointed with private bathroom, log furniture, linens and towels. Three of the cabins have kitchenettes. Our helpful reservations staff can set up a package for you that includes great discounts on your lodging. If you’re not coming to the AVA Outpost or want to stay somewhere else, we’ll help you find the best lodging options for your group wherever you want to stay.

Meals:

For groups of 15 or more, we offer meal packages that are affordable and delicious. From sandwiches or fajitas for lunch to steak BBQs for dinner, we’ll find a meal package that suits your group adventure and your budget. From our 500 sq. ft deck, admire the views while you enjoy a hearty mountain meal.

Team Building:

The recreational activities offered by Arkansas Valley Adventures can be great team-building tools for students, athletic teams, corporations or other groups. Many of the activities we offer—like rafting and rock climbing—are excellent for improving communication, trust and problem solving skills. Custom Trips:

At AVA, we specialize in creating custom trips for groups. A custom trip allows you to schedule a trip exclusively for your group at the time you want. You don’t have to fit our regular schedule and you won’t have any other guests on the trip—just your group. A custom trip also includes all the rafting gear you need except shoes; wetsuits, splash jackets, life jackets, paddles and helmets are included free of charge. Think of a custom trip as the ultimate in service. Custom trips also work well for groups with more challenging schedules. A custom trip can be as full-service as you can imagine. **REMEMBER: If you are bringing a group of participants that are under age 18, each child must have a release form signed by his/her own parent. Please have releases signed ahead of time and bring them with you.
