Arkansas Valley Adventures’ Granite outpost is located just north of Buena Vista, Colorado and a little south of Leadville. We’ve chosen to set up in this area for easy access to some of the best whitewater in Colorado – specifically the highest quality river trips on the Arkansas River.
River trips from the Granite Outpost offer a huge variety of options, from beginner whitewater rafting to intermediate- advanced river trips to overnight whitewater rafting trips. Leaving from the Buena Vista location lets you customize the time you spend on the river with half-day, full-day, overnight and multi-day whitewater rafting trips available.

I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful 6th Anniversary we had because of you. Yesterday we rafted the Gauntlet. Zach was our guide and was phenomenal.
