The oldest and the largest community in Summit County, Breckenridge offers a spectacular array of activities throughout the year ranging from a mellow stroll down its historic main street to a more adventurous day of Breckenridge rafting! Nestled in the Blue River Valley between Baldy Mountain and the jagged peaks of the Ten Mile Range, the town dates back to a rowdy era of rugged prospectors and hardy Old West settlers. Breckenridge, now a National Historic District, has maintained the feel of that bygone era by incorporating a multitude of colorful restored Victorian buildings that house a range of quaint lodges, restaurants, and shops. Discerning world-class hotels, convention centers, and town-home complexes flank the picturesque Main Street village at the base of the ski area.

Summit Mountain Rentals: Summit Mountain Rentals is a locally owned and operated, full-service property management company offering high-quality vacation lodging.  Our immaculately maintained Frisco and Breckenridge lodging choices include luxury homes, as well as condos and townhomes of all sizes.  We can accommodate the lone traveler to groups of 20 or more in a single house.  Summit Mountain Rentals specializes in personalized service and attention for our guests. All of our properties offering their own unique amenities and “flair,” and we’re happy to help you find the perfect vacation rental for your mountain getaway.

Thanks AVA for another awesome time on the river. Special thanks to Matt. You were terrific! — Lisa F., MN

During the summer, downtown Breckenridge erupts into a shopping Mecca, its sidewalks packed with visitors exploring the scores of gift shops, retailers, and boutiques. Main Street also offers a lively nightlife, guaranteeing jammin’ live music or a hoppin’ bar any night of the week!

Some mountain towns love to boast that they are a place where time stands still. In Breckenridge, the only things standing still are the people posing for pictures among Breckenridge’s magnificent scenery. Breckenridge was born out of the rowdy gold rush of the 1860s, and the town still maintains much of this flavor and attitude. Breckenridge in the summer offers an endless array of activity, from Breckenridge rafting, hiking, biking and shopping to live music and happy hour almost every night of the week. That’s why Breckenridge is the perfect destination for so many types of people: singles looking to meet people, couples on a romantic getaway or looking for adventure and activities like Breckenridge rafting, and families trying to please all ages of kids! Breckenridge still has that Old West feel, but there’s something going on in Breckenridge 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Breckenridge will never be a place that stands still. It’s what makes Breckenridge so much fun.
