Enjoy the best of Clear Creek’s intermediate whitewater and the thrill of zip lining in one action-packed day. Our zip line course is perched above our Idaho Springs office just 30 minutes outside of Denver. The zipline course is open year round! After a scenic nature hike to get to the start of the course, take on six zips of varying length through the trees and cliffs before crossing over Chicago Creek for an exhilarating finish. Next, get ready to conquer some of the most intense whitewater on Clear Creek! Starting high in the canyon, there’s just enough time to warm up before you drop into the first class IV rapid. You will encounter 30 major rapids on this 8-mile trip dropping an incredible 1,300 vertical feet. This continuous, steep, technical section will keep your paddle moving and your heart thumping as your crash through pulsing, Class IV rapids such as Phoenix, Nomad, Falls Creek, and Outer Limits. This is a physically demanding trip requiring good physical condition and a minimum age of 15*. Zipline tour minimum age 7, min weight 50 lbs., max weight 250 lbs.

Have an action-packed day with two of Colorado’s favorite summer mountain activities! Start your morning off with the notorious section of the Arkansas River known as The Numbers. This section of the river is famous for its non-stop white water action and steep drops that will give you a great adrenaline rush to start your day. These class III-V rapids will have your heart beating fast and after you’re thoroughly drenched we’ll take a short break for lunch before jumping through the trees on a zip line tour. Arkansas Valley Adventure now has a Colorado zip line that takes you through the tree line from one cliff to the next over our 44-acre Gold Camp property. Take in the beautiful views of the snow-capped peaks and wildlife-filled valleys as you sail through the air at speeds of up to 30mph. Minimum age 15 on The Numbers rafting trip. Zipline: minimum age 10, minimum weight 75 lbs, max weight 250 lbs.

Spend a full day on the river navigating the notorious Numbers followed by the Narrows. You’ll quickly lose track of which rapid you’re on as they come at you in quick succession, but we’ll make sure to find time for a hot, chicken fajita lunch along the way. After you have returned to the outpost and dried off, it’s time for one of the most exciting and popular Colorado mountain summer adventures – ziplining! Our zipline course is integrated into the wooded and craggy surroundings of our mountainous 43-acre Gold Camp property. Take in the views of snow-capped peaks and the Arkansas River as you zip from cliff to cliff between the pine and aspen trees. Minimum age 15. Minimum weight 75 lbs, maximum weight 250 lbs.

The Gauntlet and Zipline Package

Combine the non-stop action of a white water trip through Gauntlet with an exhilarating experience through the trees on a fun-filled Colorado zip line tour. Pine Creek has one of the steepest drops of any of our river trips and the rapids through this section of river are highly technical with heart-thumping action! The Gauntlet river trip will start off gently as we practice our paddling skills through the beautiful Granite Gorge. The fun begins when during a single rapid we drop 200 feet and the Arkansas River narrows to half its width. As we splash down the river we encounter the famous section of the river known as The Numbers for more white water fun. After a quick break for lunch we’ll take to the trees and see the Arkansas Valley from high above the ground on our famous zip line tours. Arkansas Valley Adventure will sail you through our tree-dense Gold Camp property as we jump from cliff to cliff. Minimum age 15. Good physical condition required. The ultimate, adrenaline-filled trip! Start with a 75-foot down to the river, where you meet your raft and the rest of your trip. Then get ready to enjoy the best advanced whitewater: Pine Creek is the steepest, most technical, and most continuous section of whitewater on the entire Arkansas River. After your rappel, we’ll get you warmed up in the beautiful Granite Gorge before the river narrows to half its width and drops 200 feet in the course of a single rapid. You barely have time to catch your breath before starting on the notorious Numbers. We’ll break for a hot chicken fajita lunch and then take to the skies with one of the most exciting and popular Colorado mountain summer adventures – ziplining!
