Class I – (All Ages)
No significant waves. No obstacles.
Class II – (All Ages)
Easy. Rapids with regular waves, clear passages and wide channels.
Class III – (All Ages)
Moderately difficult. Irregular waves, often narrow channels, maneuvering
to avoid obstacles required.
Class IV – (Ages Vary)
Difficult. Complex channels with many significant obstacles to be avoided.
Precise maneuvering is required.
Class V – (Minimum
Age 15) Extremely difficult. Long continuous rapids, often following each
other almost without interruption.
Class VI – Considered
unrunnable. High possibility of serious injury.
