It’ll give any guest a roller coaster ride but is still good for those in-shape active participants that haven’t navigated a fair amount of whitewater yet.

Perfect family trips include plenty of smiles and Class II and III rapids. AVA has a multitude of river adventures for the groups with kids, but we think the best one may just be our scenic float along the Upper Colorado River. The Class II rapids welcome those as young as 2 years old with a minimum weight of 30 pounds, and the grandparents can tag along as well. You’ll get to gaze at the incredible views surrounding your raft, and for those who want a bit of adventure – dabble in some cliff jumps!

Try out an aerial adventure on one of our zipline tours if you aren’t too keen on exploring the river. AVA has two courses in Idaho Springs and Buena Vista, both with a handful of ziplines and plenty of other exciting and breathtaking features.
