The long and brutally cold winter has just left us and spring is officially here! Let’s dust off your bike, get geared up, go outside and get the good summer tan in Kremmling!  Most of the biking trails in Kremmling area are not yet discovered by a lot of people so the trails are secluded and peaceful. Arapahoe Ridge is the closest trail to the town of Kremmling. This is a 10 mile long single-track trail and mostly for the advance riders because the trails are gradual and it requires a little climb at 9,600 feet in elevation. The whole area is mostly tundra landscape with no shade so sunscreen and a lot of water is a must!

Green Mountain Reservoir may be known for on water recreations but for those who are want to stay on the dry side, biking is an option for you here. A designated bike path is not available but this is a perfect opportunity for some off roading. It also does not hurt to pack your swimsuit for this trip, as you sweat from biking then take a short break and cool yourself down and swim in the reservoir or do a somersault off a cliff!

Just an hour drive away Kremmling, you will find one of the best mountain biking trails in Colorado. Winter Park alone provides 600 miles of marked trails with user friendly maps for both road bike mountain biking. Some remarkable road cycling is Berthoud Pass.  It is about 11 miles from Winter Park to the summit. For mountain biking, Grand County offers wide varieties of terrains to all level of riders, from the paved Winter Park to Fraser trail and the gravel Fraser River trail. Most of the mountain biking trail system originated from logging and tunnel construction roads that now offer challenging and fun riding.
