Buena Vista in the Fall
Autumn is the perfect time to get away for a few days with friends or family as the weather starts to cool down and the aspen trees turn to vibrant shades of yellow. We recommend heading down to Buena Vista located in the Upper Arkansas River Valley for a multitude of special events and activities held throughout the fall.
Gold Rush Days
August 12th & 13th
This free two-day event has been a Buena Vista tradition for thirty-six years and counting. The days will be filled with live music of various genres, food, and activities for all ages. The kids can compete in the rubber ducky race while the adults enjoy music in the beer garden. Some other activities include a burro race, blacksmith demonstrations, a reenactment of an old-time gunfight and many more.
Buena Vista Farmers Market
Fridays from June 2nd to October 14th @ 3-7pm
Come to the South Main Town Square to support the local economy and ecosystem by participating in the weekly BV farmers market where you can purchase food to make yourself or indulge in food that has already been prepared. You can enjoy a day filled with a great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, pastries, bread, and cheese. Not hungry? That’s okay, there will be local crafters, artists and jewelers selling their homemade creations.
