Buena Vista in the Fall

Autumn is the perfect time to get away for a few days with friends or family as the weather starts to cool down and the aspen trees turn to vibrant shades of yellow. We recommend heading down to Buena Vista located in the Upper Arkansas River Valley for a multitude of special events and activities held throughout the fall.

Gold Rush Days
McPhelemy Park
August 12th & 13th

This free two-day event has been a Buena Vista tradition for thirty-six years and counting. The days will be filled with live music of various genres, food, and activities for all ages. The kids can compete in the rubber ducky race while the adults enjoy music in the beer garden. Some other activities include a burro race, blacksmith demonstrations, a reenactment of an old-time gunfight and many more.

That’s okay, there will be local crafters, artists and jewelers selling their homemade creations.
