Now that winter is knocking on the door and the mountain peaks are beginning to see their first of many snow falls of the year, the sunshine and warm weather days are numbered. Although it may be getting chilly up above 8,000ft, the weather below is still a dream for most with days still reaching 80’s. As most rivers have come to a close around the state, whitewater rafting will be more select and other outdoor activities dwindle down to a smaller selection.
Some of the best fall time activities are those that include amazing scenery, as the Colorado fall foliage is world renown. AVA’s cliffside zipline is one of those activities. Our Cliffside Zipline is able to combine high-adrenaline adventure with great views of the Idaho Springs Valley, Clear Creek, Chicago Creek and the hills that provided Colorado with the gold rush boom in 1850. This is an excellent fall trip as it is only about 45 mins outside of Denver but offers that true mountain feel everyone loves. If heights are not your thing, rafting will be another excellent option during this time of year as you are not being beaten down by the sweltering heat or freezing in the spring run off. Our Upper Colorado Scenic Float trips are the perfect option to enjoy the scenery while relaxing down a 6 mile section of serene beauty. For those looking to spice things up a bit and get a little more adventure out of your excursion, our inflatable kayak or SUP options will definitely put you attention and balance to the test.
