Family Camping in Colorado

Camping in ColoradoWhen you think of summer in Colorado, camping usually comes to mind. Colorado is known for its magnificent mountains and scenery in almost any location in the entire state.  The great thing about vacationing in Colorado is that it is a great option for a vacation for the entire family. No matter what the age, there are Colorado activities for everyone here. From hiking and biking to rafting and zip lining, you have little to yearn for after spending a week here.  Camping with kids gives the whole family a chance to enjoy exploring a new place without breaking the budget, too!

After enjoying a beautiful day in the Rocky Mountains, what could be better than pitching a tent, lighting a fire, and roasting s’mores under the stars for a night or two? It’s relaxing and a great way for the family to spend quality time together, without the phone constantly ringing and a TV blaring in the other room. Whether you are looking for a place deep in the mountains of Summit County, in a national park close to Estes Park and Grand Lake, or just simply at a quiet campground by a river, Colorado has it to offer.

In almost any location, you will find yourself staring up at all of the millions of stars that cover the sky, listening to the river or stream go by, and hearing the natural sounds of the night. It is an experience that is hard to find in many places and cannot be beat.  When was the last time that you were able to actually see the stars in the sky and go to sleep outside with only the noises of nature surrounding you? Camping in Colorado is sure to be an activity that the kids will remember for years to come, and it’s a great way to spend quality time with them before they grow up!
