With three outposts across the state of Colorado, our guests may be wondering what their best transportation option for their adventure with AVA Rafting & Zipline is. Rental cars are great, but what if you don’t have one for your vacation? Or maybe you’re taking an Uber or Lyft, but where do you put your stuff while you’re on course or on the river? And are there reliable Ubers to get back to your lodging or the Denver area? These uncertainties are no reason to miss out on an adventure. Here’s a layout on all your transportation options to AVA’s outposts.
Uber and Lyft
Seems like a great option to hop on with one of these services to our outposts, but getting back to where you came from can be a headache. Though it’s not logical to grab an Uber from Summit County to our Buena Vista outpost, many in the Denver area like to use their transportation to our Idaho Springs outpost because it’s only a short jaunt west of the mile high city. Heads up, it’s very easy to find an Uber in the Denver area but Idaho Springs is a whole other story. You may have to wait a few hours and hang around the small mountain town to get a ride back, so unless you have something lined up before you head to Idaho Springs we suggest you don’t rely on Uber.
AVA’s Transportation Options
One of the best things AVA Rafting & Zipline offers is transportation to our outposts in SUVs or a Mercedes Sprinter van. This option is far cheaper than renting a car and offers the luxuries of WiFi on board. You’ll get to sit back and relax with your group on your way to the outpost and gaze at Colorado’s scenic vista while you gear up for your action-packed day. We can take you to our outposts from your location for a customized expense. AVA’s transportation is great for larger parties such as bachelor or bachelorette excursions, birthday outings, school groups, or boy and girl scout troops, and also a great solution for the family of four escaping to the mountains for a day.

Where do you store your belongings?
With Uber and Lyft, you obviously won’t be able to leave your bags in the car while you are out on your adventure. The best part about transportation with AVA is that you can leave your belongings on the vehicle during your activity. There are no storage lockers at our outposts for guests to put their stuff in, so a great solution to this is either come fully prepared in an Uber or Lyft or take advantage of the transportation options AVA has for your adventure.
After a long day of thrilling activities, the last thing you want is to be hanging around our outpost if you’re exhausted with no way home.
