One could say that Colorado has the best weather in the Summer Weatherworld for outdoor recreational activities.  Most people associate the state with its winter weather.  With an average of 300 inches of annual snowfall (often lasting till April and May) it truly is a skier’s paradise in the winter. This makes it easy to overlook the fantastic weather that Colorado has during its summer months.

Colorado has some pretty unique weather averaging 300 days of sunshine every year.  The average temperature during the day is usually in the 70’s with fairly low humidity. When coming to Colorado in the summer it makes for some pretty ideal conditions for recreational activities.  If you want to go hiking, fishing, biking, boating, camping or any other number of activities Colorado will provide excellent weather for your activity of choice no matter what day.

Summer WeatherThere is one downside that tends to accompany Colorado’s afternoons on occasion and that is thunderstorms. In the mountains in tends to rain for an hour or two in the afternoon.  When planning activities for your trip it is sometimes best to organize activities for the morning if you do not want to get rained or get stuck in a lightning storm. This does allow for plants to flourish and for the common wildfire be prevented, so it’s not always a bad thing.

The weather in Colorado can be hard to predict at times but will usually be providing our earth with plenty of nutrients and guests with plenty of sunshine throughout the summer months.
