This trip is the ultimate overnight white water wilderness rafting experience with ziplining in Colorado! Designed to give you all the excitement the Arkansas River has to offer, this trip starts out above Browns Canyon in the Arkansas Valley and ends ziplining at our Granite Outpost. This trip offers rafting of all levels in multiple sections, inflatable kayaks, rock climbing, rappelling and ziplining. It’s an adventure trip that will not disappoint!

DAY 1

  • Meet at the Buena Vista Outpost
  • Gear up & meet your guide
  • Head out to Browns Canyon for Class III rafting
  • Break for riverside lunch
  • Raft to riverside camping location
  • Dinner prepared by your guides
  • Night 1 under the stars in Browns Canyon (tents provided)

DAY 2

  • Wake up to a delicious breakfast
  • Gear up & head back out on the River
  • Tackle Browns Canyon rapids like Zoom Flume, the Seven Stairs and Seidel’s Suckhold
  • Break for riverside lucnh
  • Jump into inflatable kayaks
  • Raft to the take out
  • Shuttle upstream to next riverside camp
  • Rock climbing in the Granite Gorge
  • Delicious dinner
  • Night 2 under the stars near Granite, CO

DAY 3

  • Hearty breakfast prepped by your guides
  • Gear up & prepare for rappelling into Granite Gorge
  • Rappel down to your raft & hit the Gauntlet!
  • Tackle the Class IV & V rapids of Pine Creek & Numbers
  • Hot riverside lunch
  • Shuttle back to outpost
  • Change into dry clothes & gear up for ziplining
  • Zoom through the trees of our 44-acre property on the Mountaintop Zipline!

My wife and I did the three day Mild to Wild in mid-June this year. Mike Crook and Nic were absolutely amazing. Their extensive knowledge of the Arkansas River made us feel so comfortable tackling Class III all the way to the fast-paced Class V white water. From the time we arrived at AVA in Buena Vista we were treated like family. Mike and Nic handled everything we could of possibly needed on this trip and treated us like family from start to finish. Nico was our rock climbing and rappelling guide, this guy is part mountain goat and walked us through the entire process. Anthony was our zipline guide, and just like everyone we met at AVA was a happy and well trained guide (zipline #5 is awesome). To sum it up we thought this would be a once in a lifetime trip, but after our experience we can't wait to return with our two children and share our new found love for AVA Adventures and the Arkansas River Valley. I would give them 10 stars if it was possible!
