Looking to leave the world behind? The Dolores 10-day adventure is the perfect excursion for you. Enjoy a nine night, ten day excursion rafting the entire 157-mile corridor of the Dolores. You will travel all the way to the confluence with the Colorado River at Dewey Bridge.
The Dolores River is one of the Southwest’s best-kept secrets, offering a unique combination of solitude, scenery, wildlife, and ancient history. Start your excursion at the base of the 14,000-foot San Juan Mountains, and float through pink Navajo and red Wingate sandstone walls as the Dolores carries you into the canyon. Take in Anasazi ruins and petroglyphs, an abundance of wildlife, and spectacular scenery as you take on fun Class II and III whitewater.
The Dolores River is a truly unspoiled western river, framed by the remote desert of southwestern Colorado. The banks of the Dolores are lined with huge Ponderosa pines, which create a stark contrast against the red and orange sandstone cliffs.
