What an AVA Adventure looks like
We offer a variety of outdoor adventure opportunities ideal for families, from young kids to grandparents. We recommend our scenic float trips for a relaxing and fun time on the beautiful Upper Colorado River. Our Browns Canyon ½ day trip at our Buena Vista location and our Gold Rush 1/3 day trip at our Idaho Springs outpost also represent mellower opportunities for families to get out on the water amidst Colorado’s beautiful scenery. Our zipline trips additionally offer an exciting mountain experience for families with kids ages 6 and up, and your group can even combine both rafting and zipline experiences in a full day multi-adventure package.

For those looking for a rush of adrenaline, we recommend our full-day Pine Creek and the Gauntlet trip or our ½ day Numbers trip at our Buena Vista outpost. These whitewater adventures will get your heart rate pumping on some of the best rapids in the state. Our Via Ferrata courses at both our Buena Vista and Idaho Springs outposts additionally represent a unique opportunity to test your limits in an adrenaline rush high up in Colorado’s cliffs. Adrenaline junkies will also enjoy traversing Colorado’s rugged landscape with an exciting UTV rental!

Here, your group can partake in rafting, Via Ferrata, and ziplining, or a combination of activities in a multi-adventure package. Where the Gold Rush Began
The quaint mining town of Idaho Springs was once a hub for the gold rush after the first gold in the state was discovered there in the mid 1800's. Now, it's an under-the-radar destination for mountain recreation. Clear Creek provides whitewater rafting for all ability levels just 30 minutes outside of Denver. The surrounding peaks provide the perfect topography for our via ferrata and ziplining. Swing into the idyllic downtown for a quick bite or a post-tour, locally brewed beer. You'll still have plenty of time to get back to the city.
Colorado's Namesake River
Not many travelers have heard of Kremmling, CO, but everyone knows of the river that flows through it. The headwaters of the mighty Colorado River are just a short distance east of our outpost, and rafting the "Upper C" provides a stunningly beautiful and relaxing experience. Wildlife abounds on a stretch that's perfect for the whole family. Fly fishing holes hide around every bend. Add a UTV tour to explore the wilds around Kremmling.

We have three main outposts in Idaho Springs, Buena Vista, and Kremmling with rafting on rivers throughout the state. With our outposts spread across Colorado, each location boasts uniquely stunning scenery. No matter where your Colorado trip takes you, we have an accessible adventure for you.
What ages can participate in adventure opportunities?
Our adventures cater to all ages and levels from 2 years old and up. Please read our individual trip descriptions to learn about age minimums and adventure requirements. Our trip pages also offer a convenient adrenaline ranking system to help you choose the best experience for your group.
Do I need to have prior experience to undertake an adventure experience?
All of our adventures are beginner-friendly, and our experienced guides will teach you all necessary skills! Some require a higher level of physical fitness than others, however, so please read individual trip descriptions to find the best fit for you.
How do I choose the best adventure for my group?
We recommend considering the ages of your group, your party’s desired adrenaline level, and your Colorado location when choosing an outdoor adventure.
