Looking for an exciting summer with one of Colorado’s outdoor industry jobs? Do you love being outside and active?  AVA offers a wide variety of job opportunities each summer in Colorado. We are always looking for people who are energetic, enjoy being outdoors, and are hard-working team players to have an awesome summer of fun working as river guides and support staff.

If you are not a person who takes pride in your job and wants to do something you are passionate about, we’re not the company for you. Our season generally runs from May until September, and we staff for that time.  A few year-round positions are open, as well.

Experienced White Water Rafting Guide Jobs

We have a core staff of whitewater rafting guides that have been with AVA for many years. We do, however, hire experienced guides each season to add to our seasoned staff. The number of guides and experience level we’re looking for changes from one year to the next. The best opportunities will arise if you apply early. You must be available early to mid May through Labor Day (school start dates are the only exception). We have white water rafting jobs available in Granite (Buena Vista), Idaho Springs, and Kremmling. Click River Guide II or III above to see requirements and to apply.

AVA Office Staff

Working as part of the office staff at AVA is fun, fast-paced and offers something different each day! Office staff is responsible for general customer service duties, including answering questions, checking in guests before trips, selling retail goods, printing photos after trips, and general cleaning. We’re search for fun-loving, capable folks with good attitudes, strong work ethics, and the ability to multi-task. Must be available through Labor Day (school start dates are the only exception). AVA Sales Staff

AVA’s call center is a high energy sales office in downtown Breckenridge.  We have a fun sales staff to which we add a few new agents each year.  Duties include answering customer questions, making reservations by phone and in person, responding to emails, and sending quotes.  We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and hard-working individuals who are excited to share Colorado’s amazing activities with our guests.  Seasonal and year-round positions.  Click Sales Agents/ Reservationists to learn more and apply.

AVA Rafting Guide School - Beginner Guides

Each year, we accept approximately 15 people for our whitewater rafting guide school. No previous training on the river is necessary, although paddling skills, guide/leadership/guest service experience or general white water rafting experience will be an asset for you. Guide school starts in May 2017 and lasts for three weeks. You must be able to attend the full length of white water rafting guide school. Some people will need additional training to graduate. The cost of guide school is $600 per student plus AHRA use fees and if you are invited to guide school your position will not be held until we receive your deposit. This course is geared toward participants that are safety-conscious, team-oriented, responsible, personable, fit, hardy, entertaining and ready for a challenge. We want you to develop a passionate love for white water rafting. Guiding is not for everyone!
