AVA’s goal is always to set the bar for our industry: from guides and training to guest service, outposts and gear. We know, we might be tooting our own horn a bit. But otherwise how will you know?
At AVA, we specialize in creating unforgettable outdoor experiences in Colorado. In addition to world-class whitewater rafting on eight different rivers across Colorado, we also provide zip line tours at two locations, rock climbing, fly fishing, horseback riding, off-road tours, train rides, hot air balloon rides, cabins and camping.
AVA Rafting & Zipline is taking home the trophy for two categories in the Best of the Rockies
contest held annually by Elevation Outdoors. We got Best Whitewater Guide Service in the
Rocky Mountains and our Cliffside Zipline in Idaho Springs won Best Adventure Park in the
Rocky Mountains. Help us celebrate with an adventure!

Our group of rafters were ages 7-78. I was so impressed that our guide Nat was able to quickly put at ease our reluctant 7 year old. Nate’s instructions were always very clear with no ambiguity. He made sure that all rafters were comfortable and confident about their ability to raft. He also provided historical information on the area. Requesting Nate as your guide will help make certain that you have a great experience.

We’re from Chicago and the closest thing to whitewater rafting is driving down a pothole filled street in the spring. So this was AMAZING!! We all had a great time and since we were all novices the guides took extra care to make sure we felt safe. Thank you Lucas and Max.

We went for a zip line tour and had so much fun we did it again the same day! Guides Sunshine Autumn and Kenny were amazing great with kids and scared adults. What’s great about this location is that you are actually zip lining in a nature course and not in a field.
Not only do AVA guides go through three times the state required training, they also run more people on Class IV and V whitewater than any outfitter in Colorado. Our guides are highly experienced and many come work at AVA just because of our reputation for professional, Class V river running.
AVA runs more people on Class IV and V whitewater rafting trips than any outfitter in Colorado. AVA runs over 60% of all the rafters that go down Pine Creek, the only Class V section on the Arkansas River. Our guides are highly experienced and many come work at AVA just because of our reputation for professional, Class V river running. See all Advanced Rafting trips.
Our Rafting + Zipline packages, Rafting + Rock Climbing and Zipline + Rock Climbing packages include activities that take place in one location. We have 2 zipline courses – our Cliffside Zipline in Idaho Springs and Mountaintop Zipline in Buena Vista – right where our rafting trips take place. This saves you time, effort and money and lets you focus on the most important thing: quality fun and adventure with your family and friends. See all Packages.
