3 Day Upper Colorado Float Trip

New in 2013!

This year, we are introducing a 3 day trip on the Upper Colorado!  Perfect for families with kids or for anyone seeking a leisurely river trip with fantastic scenery, our 3 Day Upper Colorado will incorporate rafting, inflatable kayaks, and paddle boards as well as side adventures, hot springs, and more!

Day 1:

You’ll meet at our Kremmling Outpost where our friendly staff will check you in and help you prepare your gear.  After shuttling your group to the river, you and your guides will spend the afternoon rafting the Upper Colorado’s Little Gore Canyon.  You’ll stop to camp at Radium Hot Springs.  After pitching the tents and setting up camp, your guides will prepare a delicious and hearty dinner leaving you with plenty of time to swim in the hot springs, fish, hike, or just relax by the river.

Day 2:

After a leisurely hot breakfast, you’ll pack up and get oriented on how to paddle your inflatable kayaks, or duckies.  Then get ready to spend a day kayaking and exploring the Upper Colorado’s Red Gorge as well as Rancho Del Rio.  Hiking to dinosaur tracks, surfing your kayak in Class II whitewater, and just floating and soaking in the sun will fill a perfect day on the river.  You’ll break for camp below State Bridge to enjoy dinner and relaxing evening of fireside activities before climbing into your sleeping bag.

Day 3:

Refuel with a delicious breakfast and make an unhurried departure from camp to get oriented on paddle boards!  Spend the morning rafting the Class II fun below State Bridge.  You’ll take your time honing your skills for the Class II wave trains in this short but sweet section of river.  Hike to historic mining cabins, practice surfing your paddle boards, and challenge yourself on the changing currents at the Big Piney River’s confluence with the Colorado River.  Enjoy lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon paddle boarding, kayaking or relaxing in the raft before heading back to the Kremmling Outpost.

The 3 Day Upper Colorado trip will run on Tuesdays and Saturdays from our Kremmling Outpost between June 1^st and August 31^st.
