You may get the feeling of being in a food coma, so make sure to have active plans for the next couple of days. Here are some helpful tips of what you can do to bounce back after your Thanksgiving Feast out in the Rockies.

thanksgiving exerciseHiking: After a long night of eating delicious food and making your belly happy, you should get up and try to take a walk! Even the next day, plan a family fun hike/walk that everyone would enjoy. Some trails are covered with snow at this time of year, but no need to worry! You can rent some snowshoes to spice it up. It is a great time to be with friends and family while exercising and enjoying the outdoors.

Ziplining: This is a great activity for the whole family to enjoy! At AVA we will still be running Zipline tours down in Idaho Springs until the snow stops us. Check out the tours AVA is running on the weekend after Thanksgiving or even the day of or day before; you will not want to miss out!

Skiing / Snowboarding: Why not get on out on the slopes and enjoy yourself with all the fresh powder! It is not only an exhilarating experience, but it is a great workout. If you have never attempted it before, that is even more of a reason to get on up and try something new.

thanksgiving exerciseTubing/Sledding: Wrap yourself up in warm clothes, grab your choice of sled and head out to the hills! There is no excuse not to go sledding out in Colorado. There are endless amounts of perfect sledding hills for the whole family.
