Earth Day in the Rocky Mountains

Since 1970, April 22nd has been nationally recognized as Earth Day, a 24 hour period dedicated to environmental support and recognition. While celebrations differ from county-to-county, a common theme resonates in every culture – Earth Day is a reminder to go outside and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. For some people, this means making an extra effort to sit outside on their lunch hour, for others it means playing hooky from work and going on an epic hike. If you happen to find yourself in the Rocky Mountains on this lovely day, be sure to check out at least one of the awesome activities below!

1)      White Water Rafting

2)      Cliffside Zip line Tour
Our Idaho Springs Outpost, located just 30 minutes from Denver, Colorado, has one of the best zip line courses in the state. The 6 line course provides an aerial tour of the Chicago Creek and the historic mining town of Idaho Springs. The tour will begin on our zip truck with a ride through historical downtown. The entire tour will take roughly two and a half hours (weather dependent). Be sure to ask your guide about the many challenge activities along the course. The bridge of doom and 50-foot free fall are two of my favorites!
3)      Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride
