Glenwood Canyon Rafting

The rafting season is almost over. Keyword: Almost. There is still rafting to be had in Colorado, you just have to know where to find it.fall rafting

If you are staying in Glenwood Springs, or if you don’t mind to drive a little bit from the surrounding areas, then this is a great option. Shoshone Rapids in Glenwood Springs are not only beautiful, but are raftable until October. October! Because of the continuous water runoff and the low elevation of these rapids they can still be exciting to those go getters who want some late season rafting. The schedule is a bit limited. Trips on the Shoshone only run at 11 most days for half day trips.

If you are located south of Denver, rafting the Royal Gorge will be your best bet. Departing out of Canyon City, about 48 miles southwest of Colorado Springs, the Royal Gorge offers guests Class II and III whitewater until mid-September. Check out the beautiful canyon while rafting underneath the iconic Royal Gorge Bridge.

If rafting isn’t your thing, but you still want some excitement, then test out some amazing ziplines. Located in the historic mining town of Idaho Springs our zipline course swings and zips guests through the air all the way back to our outpost. Enjoy six different ziplines of all different lengths as you spend time with friends and view Idaho Springs form the air. Check out our discount page for more deals! Also, Horseback riding and ATV tours run until October, and some even year round.
