While visiting Colorado over the summer there is a multitude of activities to partake in and destinations to visit. Some of the most popular activities include whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking and ziplining, just to name a few. Colorado also offers one of the best microbrewery scenes in the country with some of the most highly rated craft beers in the world. After joining AVA on an awesome day of high adrenaline white water rafting, go check out one these top 5 breweries for a post-rafting beer. Whether you were on a ⅓ day Gold Rush rafting trip in Idaho Springs, or a 3-day Mild to Wild trip in Granite Colorado, you have certainly earned a beer.

If departing our Idaho Springs location you will not want to miss Tommyknocker Brewery and Pub for their signature Butthead Bock. Tommyknocker Brewery and Pub is located less than five minutes from our outpost. If traveling further out of mountains and back down to the Front Range, check out Great Divide Brewing Company for their award winning Yeti Imperial Stout.

Crazy Mountain Brewery is a tiny little brewery known for its creative malty concoctions nestled up in Edwards, Colorado, situated next to our Eagle River trips and some of the world's best mountain biking terrain.

After you finish completing the world’s famous Browns Canyon stretch of river in Buena Vista, stop into Eddyline Brewing to enjoy a Crank Yanker IPA. Eddyline is located in downtown Buena Vista, only twenty minutes from our Granite Outpost. If headed south after a long day of rock climbing and lapping Pine Creek, you will not want to miss out on Elevation Brewing and their Signal De Botrange.

Whether you enjoy porters, bocks, IPAs or pilsners, these select breweries have you guys covered. All five companies have won multiple awards on multiple different brews.
