During your summer vacation squeeze in some much-needed summer music festival time in Buena Vista at the Vertex Music Festival! Set in the scenic Arkansas Valley, dance the day and night away in the valleys that reach into the mountains that practically touch the sky. The little town of Buena Vista, Colorado features hot springs, hikes, 14,000 foot peaks, a brewery and distillery, along with all types of restaurants. The venue is set in the Cottonwood Meadows right next to Cottonwood Creek nestled next to an organic farm.
Head out onto the river during the day, battling the whitewater rapids of Colorado or paddleboarding to get in a good core workout. To check out the incredible alpine landscape and take in the majestic mountains, get up into the sky on a zipline course zooming through trees and flying through the air. Test your skills climbing rocks with guided rock climbing on the natural rock found throughout the Arkansas valley. Trout is found along the rivers that run through Buena Vista and you can hone in on your fishing skills with a guided fly fishing tour. The tranquility of the water and the reward of catching a fish is the cherry on top of a day before enjoying some live music. There are plenty of activities in the area to fill your day with adventure between listening to your favorite bands and dancing with your closest friends.
The lineup this year will include the ever popular Odesza, Graham Nash, the Trey Anastasio Band, Seven Lions, and the Trout Steak Revival! Camping spots can be found throughout the area. Come prepared as you'll be eating, dancing, and living outside for the weekend at high elevation!
