Buena Vista Full Suspension Bike
Fun & Mellow

Buena Vista Full Suspension Mountain Bike Rental

Buena Vista sits in one of the best mountain biking zones in Colorado, with more than a hundred miles of singletrack carved into the foothills of the Collegiate Peaks. Rent a full suspension mountain bike from AVA’s south main shop and you can be climbing switchbacks or dropping into rock gardens within minutes.

The Highlights Of Your Trip

Our full suspension rental fleet is built for riders who want to push into the more technical, rock-strewn terrain that Buena Vista is known for. The aggressive geometry and capable suspension platform keep the bike planted through chunky descents while still climbing efficiently, so you’re not sacrificing one for the other. If you’re an advanced rider, or an intermediate rider who wants extra confidence on rougher trails, this is the bike to grab.

What Your Buena Vista Full Suspension Mountain Bike Adventure Looks Like

A. Ride Straight From the Shop

One of the best parts of renting in Buena Vista: you don’t need a car rack or a shuttle. Roll out of AVA’s south main shop and you’re on dirt within minutes, connected to a network that includes some of the area’s signature rides:

  • Buena Vista Singletrack Loop — the classic BV lap, with Mount Princeton as a constant backdrop
  • South Trail (Midland Trail System) — flowy, well-built singletrack on the south end of town
  • Midland’s Finest — a local favorite for its mix of climbs and rewarding descents
  • Crank n’ Hammer — a punchy, technical stretch for riders looking for a challenge
  • Bridge to Bridge — a scenic connector route linking trailheads along the Arkansas River corridor

And that’s just a start — Buena Vista’s trail network, maintained largely through the Buena Vista Singletrack Coalition, spans well over 100 miles across systems like Midland, Browns Creek, and the Barbara Whipple Trail System, ranging from smooth, sustainably built intermediate flow trails to expert-only lines like Vitamin B and Unchained for riders who want to test themselves.

B. A Trail Bike Built to Handle Rock and Roots

Full suspension means front and rear shocks working together, so the bike soaks up impacts instead of sending them straight to you. On Buena Vista’s rockier trails, that difference shows up fast: you can hold your line through a rock garden or a root section instead of getting bounced off it. It’s the reason most riders looking at terrain beyond smooth, groomed trail choose full suspension over a hardtail.

C. Terrain That Actually Uses the Suspension

Buena Vista’s trail network, much of it built and maintained by the Buena Vista Singletrack Coalition, mixes flowy intermediate trail with genuinely technical sections, loose rock, tight switchbacks, and punchy climbs. You can browse ride details and user submitted trail reports for the area on MTB Project. This is terrain where a capable bike earns its keep rather than sitting unused.

D. A Day Shaped Around Your Skill Level

Every rider who books this rental gets trail recommendations from our shop team before heading out. Whether you want a mellow warm up lap or you’re chasing something technical and steep, we’ll point you toward the loop that matches your experience and the time you have that day.
