The most advanced section on the Arkansas River begins in the town of Granite, which fades away as you enter the Granite Gorge. These Class III & IV rapids are a warm-up for what comes next. Get ready to paddle hard as you journey through the Rite of Passage, the gates of Pine Creek rafting, where the river narrows by half and you encounter the most continuous rapids in the state. This is where Pine Creek rafting truly becomes an adventure – the river becomes a creek and its gradient drops 200 feet with a must-make crux move. Once you pass Pine Creek hole you’ll be spit right into Triple Drop Rapid. You’ll regroup with the other boats and head into tombstone and several other small rapids as you make your way to the take out of Pine Creek.
At AVA Rafting & Zipline, we believe you should know what you’re buying and how much you’re going to spend. We believe in added value to make your experience special. We don’t want you to feel “nickel and dimed” when you show up for your trip with us. That’s why we provide wetsuits and splash jackets free of charge on your Pine Creek 1/2 Day trip. You’ll pay over $20 per person with some other outfitters. We try our best to prepare you with gear lists and suggested things to bring so that you don’t end up paying for unneeded add-ons.
