The Rocky Mountains are breathtaking, but seeing them from a Colorado hot air balloon ride offers a completely unique experience unmatched by any photo. Soaring through the early morning mountain air, you’ll enjoy views of several mountain ranges and rolling valleys while you’re treated to all the extra amenities that make this experience unforgettable – on North America’s highest elevation hot air balloon ride!
Hot air ballooning in Colorado is most common between Memorial Day and Labor Day. However, all trips are weather dependent because we do not fly in harsh weather conditions and persistent strong winds.
Typically, you will spend about an hour in the air. However, your trip does not start or end with your air time. You will get to experience the blowing up of the balloon as well an incredible celebration with food and champagne post flight.
Not only is this the most beautiful time to fly but it is also when the weather is the calmest in Colorado, so all flights take place at sunrise.
The temperature is cooler at take off then it is at landing. We recommend a light jacket, long pants, tennis or hiking shoes, sunscreen and sunglasses. Do not wear shorts, open-toed shoes or sandals.
