Now that the snow has almost disappeared up in the mountains and the ground is no longer three inches of mud, summer feels like it is officially here! The rivers are almost filled to the brim with spring run off leaving rafters and kayakers with the best conditions they will have all year. The warm and sunny weather has brought blue skies and temperatures above the 40's now is the time to get outdoors and enjoy everything the mountains have to offer. The best way to explore the high alpine environment the Rockies offer is on one of our 4×4 off-road tours that feature the BEAST!
Our 4×4 off-road tours take place in the lovely town of Kremmling, Colorado located about one hour north of Summit County. These tour feature a one of a kind vehicle known as the beast, the beast is a suburban chassis with a 500-horsepower Corvette engine under the hood. The beast will hold ten passengers and is outfitted with four point race harnesses, full roll cage and boasts over three feet of ground clearance. The beast has an open air cockpit without a body that allows for excellent views and a refreshing cool breeze while you tackle the local mountain passes. These tours will be guided by local experts that share their almost endless knowledge of fossil sites, flora and fauna and prominent geological features. Tours run seven days a week starting in mid-June and ending when the snow starts to come down during mid-fall.
