Clear Creek is located in an old mining valley in the Colorado Rockies. The average gradient of this river is 67 feet per mile—it’s a steep, technical river with white water rafting sections appropriate for all ages and abilities. Its proximity to Denver,  Boulder, Summit County and Winter Park make this thrilling section of white water easily accessible. Clear Creek Beginner Rafting Trip – 1/3 Day Rafting Trip

This one-third-day trip is a great introduction to whitewater. The section packs in eleven Class III rapids as you paddle and splash your way down the Creek. A fun trip that’s ideal for all abilities. The minimum age/weight to participate in this trip is just 6 yrs/50 lbs. (AVA reserves the right to change age and weight requirements for rafter safety depending on water levels and individual qualifications.)

Clear Creek Intermediate ½ Day Whitewater Rafting Trip

  • Intermediate/Advanced Rapids: Class III-IV
  • Check In: 9 am, 10:30 am, 12 pm, 1:30 pm, 3 pm

Conquer some of the most intense whitewater rafting on Clear Creek! Starting high in the canyon, there’s just enough time to warm up before you drop into the first class IV rapid. Enjoy this steep, technical section that will keep your paddle moving! This is a physically demanding trip. Good physical condition is recommended and a minimum age of 15 years is required. (AVA reserves the right to change age requirements depending on water levels and individual qualifications.)

Clear Creek Advanced 1/2 Day Whitewater Rafting Trip

  • Advanced + Rapids: Class IV-V

For serious paddlers only! Enjoy one of the most continuous sections of whitewater in Colorado, only 30 minutes from Denver.  Our advanced trip takes you through the Lower Canyon of Clear Creek.  You will rush through impressive scenery and even more impressive gradient that drops 150 feet/mile through the canyon.  The trip starts off with a bang with the infamous Beavers, two steep drops that are sure to get your attention.  In the canyon, the excitement is non-stop through rapids like Guide Ejector, Hell’s Corner, and Corkscrew.  Paddling experience recommended, good physical fitness level required.  Trip availability subject to water flows. Meet at our Outpost in Idaho Springs.
